MAKITA WIN SUPPLIER AWARD
At the APL Awards 2017

Makita UK has won the ‘Supplier of the Year’ award in the Manufacturer category at the APL Awards 2017 along with Marshalls.

Makita and Marshalls are presented the award by Adam Frost (centre) & Lisa Wilkinson

The annual awards, which took place on Friday 17th March 2017 at The Brewery, London, are designed to celebrate and recognise the outstanding landscaping carried out by members of the APL.

Makita’s commitment to the landscape industry includes support for the APL Apprenticeship scheme, the national Skills Show Competition managed by the APL, and direct involvement with APL seminars around the country. Makita says this partnership helps raise the skills standard of the industry, improves career prospects for young trade entrants and matches high quality machines with the very best work practices.

In addtion the Makita Be Safe training demos are delivered at land based colleges nationally. These are offered free of charge and aims to educate students in the safe-use of power tools.

“We are delighted to have won this award and our congratulations also go to Marshalls - we’re in great company,” says Kevin Brannigan, Marketing Manager, Makita UK.
